Obligatory "Hello, world!"

Spare time.

I’ve worked in tech since I graduated in 2013 and yet only now am I writing a blog. It’s one of those things that I always said I would get round to in my spare time. Of course, sometimes you don’t realise that your time is spare in the moment.

Something makes me embarrassed to admit that.

In any case, I’ve just departed from a company I’ve been working on for the last 2ish years and I have some time on my hands. What to do?

So far, I have desires to:

• hang out with my little boy more
• work out more regularly
• continue with psychotherapy
• read more
• cook more
• write more
• think about the next venture being plotted with a friend of mine
• help my wife choose a piano, maybe learn to play a bit
• maybe do nothing for a while

I’ll try to write a bit on each of these topics over the next few months and see what comes up.
